Loggerhead Sea Turtles

From the clear and warm waters of the Mediterranean to the golden beaches, Caretta Carettas—also known as loggerhead sea turtles—represent a unique natural heritage that has survived from past to present. Each year, between late spring and late summer, female turtles instinctively return to the beaches where they were born, laying their eggs deep in the sand and ensuring the beginning of new generations.

The fine and soft sandy beaches of Belek provide an ideal environment for the eggs to develop safely. After an incubation period of about two months, the hatchlings make their first journey toward the sea during the coolness of the night, guided by moonlight.
